Late Night Talks With Diego
"We just seem to have these late night talks a lot." "I can count five in the last year." "That's a lot!" I was up late talking to Diego after Rock's 11/11/11 party. Just shooting the shit about

politics
So, I'm pretty happy that Ed Lee won. Not that I know much of anything about SF politics, but he seems like a pretty get-it-done kind of mayor and I've seen him speak once. The Twitter tax deal is one of the only things I know
working out
Shitty mood again today, so went for a late run up the Lyon Street steps. I hadn't read a novel in a long time and I just tore through Ian McEwan's On Chesil Beach the last three days. It wasn't a vey uplifting read.
drinking
Was still pretty pissed about the jeep today, but met up with Scott at New Bar Tuesday and drowned my sorrows. Nothink like Black Star and flirting with girls in skeeball jerseys to make you forget your cares.
banality
Ran out to Lombardi Sports today and parked the jeep in their narrow garage. When I was backing out, I turned the wheels the wrong way and scraped the driver's side door on a pylon. Feeling pretty damn stupid today.
St. Frances

drinking
Burgers at Roam, drinking at Bar None, Pe Yale and the Triangle, dancing at the Ambassador and topping off the night with nachos at Rancho Grande.
Diego

living in SF
The other day St. Frances was expounding her theory of why we should take our time in this life – and specifically what I was missing by running to catch the bus. Something about how there are little details in everyday life that we don't notice, but by slowing
living in SF
I never get any work done when it's shorts weather in SF. All I want to do is walk halfway up Buena Vista and lie out on my fallen log in the sun with my iPhone stuck on Bon Iver.
Corin
I thought a lot about Joan today. She's not the first girl to say "I don't want to fuck you up" right before doing some damage, but she took me on quite a ride. Some of my favorite things in SF I picked up
living in SF
Of course, nothing can beat last October, for a few years at least, but I love this month in San Francisco. It's hot, dammit, and we only get that once a year, for a couple months, peaking in October. There is no people watching like Dolores Park on
